Accessibility statement

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Setstate wants everyone to be able to use setstate.info, including people who rely on a screen reader, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. This statement explains the standard we work to, how we check it, and how to tell us if something is not working for you.

1. Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These are the internationally adopted guidelines that Brazil's Inclusion Law (Law No. 13.146/2015, art. 63) asks websites to follow.

2. What we have done

  • Every page has a single main heading, and headings never skip a level
  • All content sits inside landmarks — header, main content, footer — so screen-reader users can move straight between them
  • Every form field has a visible label, and form errors are announced to screen readers and receive keyboard focus
  • Text colours were adjusted from our original design so that all text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios
  • Interactive elements are standard links, buttons and form controls, so they can be reached and used with a keyboard
  • Decorative images are hidden from screen readers
  • The page language is declared, so screen readers pronounce content correctly

3. How we test

Every page is checked automatically against WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA with the axe accessibility engine, and a change cannot be published until those checks pass.

Automated tools find only some accessibility problems, so we also rely on reports from the people who use the site.

4. Known limitations

We are not aware of any content that fails WCAG 2.1 AA. If you find something, please tell us (see section 5).

5. Feedback and other formats

If something on the site is hard to use, or you need its information in a different format, write to info@setstate.info

Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and any assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within two working days.

6. About this statement

We review this statement whenever the site changes significantly. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
